Review and coordinate preconstruction activities, based on each project’s scope of work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interpret architectural and structural drawings/specs for the purpose of developing project cost. Coordinate vendors & third-party resources as required for project development. Clarify and coordinate information with Sales, Engineering, Production, Field & Project Management. Perform detailed quantity take-off for project estimation. Review and adjust for cost changes throughout the life cycle of a project. Undertake training on estimating systems, as well as the overall function and purpose of the company. Attend meetings as required. Special projects assigned by management. Basic Qualifications Minimum of two (2) year degree in Drafting/Estimating, Project/Construction management, or Architecture Other Required Qualifications: Working knowledge and ability to interpret architectural/structural drawings and specifications. High scanning accuracy and high mathematical aptitude Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Expert in Excel Willingness and ability to quickly learn new procedures Well organized and detail orientated Able to maintain focus on a given task Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work with others in a collaborative manner Demonstrate dedication to safety, customer satisfaction, quality and efficiency Exhibit the ability and ambition for upward mobility in the organization Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Project/Construction management, Civil / Structural Engineering or Architecture Physical Requirements: Ability to travel Work variable hours Office: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time Field (periodic): Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer Plant/Yard (periodic): Move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection This position is available as either a remote opportunity, or in an office environment at our locations.
