Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence at our hospital facility, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work alongside a team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and specialists. While the standard schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, some evening and Saturday shifts may be required to accommodate our patient care needs. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, especially if hired as a floater, as this may require traveling between different sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical services to pediatric patients, including preventive care, immunizations, and primary care treatments.
• Assure thorough health education for patients and families to promote wellness and manage chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, order and interpret lab tests, and perform required screenings including STD and vision/hearing assessments.
• Conduct detailed physical examinations and develop treatment plans that meet the specific needs of individual patients.
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians to ensure that all aspects of care meet our high standards for medical excellence.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with department policies and regulations.
• Deliver services in a caring and respectful manner, fostering a supportive atmosphere for all patients and their families.
• Stay informed about current medical practices and pediatric care advancements to provide the best possible treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse pediatric patient population, ranging from infants to adolescents. You will be responsible for addressing a range of health concerns including chronic illnesses, developmental assessments, and preventive care. Your expertise will play a key role in shaping young patients' health journeys, ensuring they receive the best practices in child healthcare.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to deliver care in a bilingual setting (English/Spanish preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Preferred Experience

• 5 years of relevant nursing experience, with a focus on pediatric care.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management Systems (PMS) is preferred.
• Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

Skill Stride Nurse offers a competitive salary range of USD 126,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
