Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse delivers safe, patient-centered care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, ensuring timely clinical interventions and clear communication with the care team. This role requires strong Epic workflow proficiency and demonstrated postpartum couplet care experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide labor support and advanced nursing care for patients across the labor and delivery continuum.
• Monitor fetal and maternal status, identify changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Perform postpartum couplet care by coordinating newborn and maternal assessments and care education.
• Administer medications and execute ordered treatments following established clinical protocols.
• Document care accurately in Epic, ensuring complete and timely charting for clinical continuity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe delivery outcomes and family-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current NJ or Compact RN license; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Maintain active BLS certification with no expiration within 30 days of the start date.
• Maintain active NRP certification with no expiration within 30 days of the start date.
• Maintain active ACLS certification with no expiration within 30 days of the start date.
• Demonstrate at least 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience within the last 6 months.
• Show Epic experience and postpartum couplet care experience.
