Banking Branch Manager/Assistant Manager-Pueblo, South Branch

Banking Branch Manager / Assistant Manager – Pueblo, South Branch PB&T Bank has been fulfilling financial needs and exceeding our customers' expectations since 1889. We are a full‑service bank, providing products and services for individuals and small businesses, specializing in commercial and construction lending. Over the years, PB&T Bank has remained independently owned and operated, allowing for a personal banking experience. Our customers know they can count on PB&T Bank for excellent products and exceptional customer service. Overview This position is being offered at either Manager level or Assistant Manager level. Note that the Assistant Manager position will have slightly different expectations than the detail of some listed here, as staff do not organizationally report to Assistant Managers directly, are expected to have less experience, etc. Responsibilities Models and cultivates strategies to encourage a high‑performance work culture based on personal development and best practice principles Encourages staff development and continuous process improvement Establishes and maintains open communication with staff to ensure awareness of all changes to policies and procedures Develops and directs branch personnel with ongoing training and coaching on procedures, regulations and conduct Attends all required job‑specific training and company meetings Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and banking regulations affecting deposit‑related operations and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance Manages customer relationships by introducing products and services and accurately recording and processing transactions and related services Works collaboratively with the Vice President of Retail Services to ensure the branch supports the sales effort and customer service delivery standard referred to as the Signature Banking Program Builds strong internal and external working relationships, projects an ethical and favorable image of the organization, and promotes its goals and objectives Maintains operating procedures to promote efficiency and limit liability to the bank Assigns duties and work schedules of branch retail staff to ensure appropriate coverage to support branch operations Coordinates phone queue coverage and scheduling Ensures an adequate supply of coin/currency for the efficient operations of the branch Tracks and reports retail operations and productivity for the branch Establishes and maintains a productive relationship with work‑related vendors Ensures the appearance of the branch and personnel are neat, organized, and in accordance with bank policy Other Duties / Responsibilities Supports CRA efforts of the Bank within the community Performs random audits on teller drawers and the vault, maintains a written, signed report of each audit, and reports any exceptions to the supervisor as soon as identified Performs the duties of a Signature Banker as needed Supervisory Duties Supervises the branch retail staff and performs corrective action as needed Completes annual performance evaluations on direct reports and delivers them to employees prior to their anniversary date Provides the Human Resources Department with accurate and timely timekeeping information Interviews prospective employees to determine the best applicant based on skills, knowledge and abilities required to perform the job Knowledge Basic accounting knowledge Principles of banking Bank regulations Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Teller and deposit account procedures Skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, co‑workers and vendors Effective organizational skills Proven leadership skills Provides a high level of interpersonal skills and integrity Abilities Time management with attention to detail Handles multiple projects and details simultaneously Prioritizes and meets critical deadlines Reasoning and problem solving Ability to be a flexible team player and work successfully in a changing environment Ability to motivate and engage staff Must be able to write business correspondence, employee evaluations and warnings, and customer correspondence Must be able to perform mathematical computations using a calculator to determine solutions such as interest earned, total fees, adjusted account balances, etc. Ability to work independently Ability to foster a conducive working environment Education Successful completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
