MIG Welder (Structural Steel) Location: [Insert Location – Oklahoma City, OK] Job Type: Full-Time | Shop-Based Pay: $18–$20 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Job Overview We are currently hiring experienced MIG Welders to join our team in a custom steel fabrication shop. This role focuses on structural steel welding in a production-style environment, with opportunities to expand into other projects based on performance. This is a great opportunity for welders who can read prints, work independently, and take pride in quality craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on structural steel components Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings Work with materials including plate (16GA to 1”), pipe, and tubing Complete repetitive welding tasks with accuracy and consistency Assist with basic fabrication, grinding, and finishing work Follow all shop safety procedures and work instructions Maintain quality standards and meet production expectations Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Requirements Minimum 2+ years of welding experience in a professional setting (not entry-level) Proficient in MIG welding (additional processes a plus) Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions Experience with structural steel and varied material thicknesses Skills in grinding, torch/plasma cutting, and basic fabrication strongly Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Testing Requirements Must pass a weld test (steel plate) and drawing/print test prior to hire Certifications are not required , but skill level will be evaluated hands‑on Work Environment Shop-based role (no field work) Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless, aluminum, and galvanized metals No overtime for temporary employees PPE Requirements Required on Day 1: Welding hood Steel‑toe boots Provided (if needed): Safety glasses Gloves What We’re Looking For Successful candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to: Follow instructions precisely Consistently produce quality welds Work efficiently in a production environment Maintain a strong work ethic and team mindset Apply today to join a growing fabrication team and put your welding skills to work in a stable, full-time position! #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
