Travel RN - Intensive Care (ICU)

We're looking for Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Prescott Valley, AZ. The right nurse should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As an ICU Travel Nurse you'll evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting, providing direct care in life‑threatening situations, documenting care, assessing and implementing patient care plans, delegating to other providers, and offering education and support to patient families. Responsibilities Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests. Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, and interpret and record electronic displays. Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing. Communicate patients' conditions to family members. Provide basic bedside care. Physical Demands ICU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds easily and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Hazards may arise from exposure to chemicals, infectious diseases, and patient-related agitation or aggression. Requirements BLS, ACLS, 2 years of recent acute care experience.
