Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide skilled four-handed chairside assistance during dental procedures.

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before scheduled appointments.

• Anticipate the doctor's needs to support smooth, efficient patient care.

• Obtain quality diagnostic dental radiographs.

• Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control procedures.

• Perform efficient room turnover and maintain clinical readiness throughout the day.

• Assist with patient education, comfort, and post-operative instructions.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established office protocols.

• Monitor clinical supplies, maintain equipment, and communicate maintenance needs.

• Support the clinical team during busy schedules and unexpected changes.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, professional clinical environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Texas RDA registration in good standing.

• Strong chairside assisting and organizational skills.

• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.

• Dependability, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach.

Preferred:

• Two or more years of dental assisting experience.

• Coronal Polishing Certificate.

• Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification.

• Experience with Open Dental.

• Experience assisting with restorative dentistry, crowns, endodontics, and other general dental procedures.
