About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience in specialty License: Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact license Certifications: BLS or Red Cross certification required Must-Have: 1 year recent experience in the field of specialty; candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered Description: The position requires a willingness to float to other units and hospitals. Candidates must be willing to work 36 or 48 hours per week. Holidays may be required. Every other weekend is expected. The unit cares for patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease. Nurses in this area have a 1:6 patient ratio and specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis. This unit values collaboration with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to offer the best care possible. The team is dedicated to supporting patients at every step of their journey, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Education required includes an associate degree in nursing. This position requires robust communication and teamwork skills.
