Summary of Position:

Bartenders responsibilities include greeting all guests that approach the bar, taking orders, serving food, preparing and servings

drinks including mixed drinks and drafter beers, support for the service staff, keeping the bar cleaned and stocked per store

standards as well as following all safety and service standards..

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet all of our bar guests. Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.

• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.

• Record drink and orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the POS system.

• Prepare garnishes for drinks

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Green Lantern's standard drink recipes.

• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.

• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make changes (if applicable).

• Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of

beverages.

• Clear and reset tables in the bar area.

• Wash and sterilize glassware.

• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.

• Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.

• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.

• Execute any duty or task assigned by General Manager/Owner or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age.

• Have knowledge of service and food and beverage.

• Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
