Position Summary: Identify, minimize, and mitigate areas of risk and loss while improving safety and providing support, training, and security to the organization, increasing donor value and contributions that support the mission. Provide ongoing execution, training, and support of LP policies and procedures while managing, maintaining, and implementing LP programs and security controls that mitigate risk and loss. Establishes strong partnerships with retail management, Human Resources (HR), department leadership, and the local law enforcement community, Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Awareness & Prevention: o Communicates, trains, and educates on LP programs and strategies. Makes necessary adjustments, as needed, to support business needs. o Creates, trains, and assesses LP merchandise protection strategies to determine effectiveness and make necessary changes when applicable to the needs of the business. o Pre-screens new hire candidates and reviews eligibility criteria to lo Audits & Inspection o Ensures LP strategies and training are adhered to through audits and inspections. Communicates findings to respective leadership. o Leads, manages, and follows up with AP Specialist while partnering with operational leadership and reviews audit/inspection tools to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks. Facility Protection o Oversees coordinated activities with department leadership, police and fire departments during alarms or emergencies. o Ensures key control processes are adhered to. o Monitors overnight donor door theft. Investigations & Case Management o Ensures LP field investigations follow GWH outlines for investigations from case initiation to closure. o Ensures cases are detailed and closed in a timely manner. o Performs all functions in close collaboration with HR, Internal Audit, and DGR Leadership. o Responds to and assists with all critical incidents and emergency response situations, including communication, problem-solving, and remediation. o Partners with operational leadership and reviews AP incident trends to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks. o Conducts new hire orientation as it relates to LP and supports Safety training as assigned. o Attends and participates in weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetings at corporate and store level. o Supports Management by providing feedback and coaching while in the field. o Provides quality LP& safety-related consulting support, measured by the ability to handle independently and appropriately, following applicable standards, and focusing on leadership/program development. o Ensures customer satisfaction and buy-in while delivering training. o Assists in the development of LP-related training courses or content. o Reviews and supports the training of any Risk Management-related SOPs and tools as assigned. o Performs all functions in collaboration with HR and DGP leaders. o Performs other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs. Minimum Qualifications: o A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. o Retail Asset Protection or Loss Prevention experience is required. o LPQ/LPC certification is preferred. o CCTV and alarm maintenance and monitoring are preferred. o Access Control (electronic key and lock systems) is preferred. o Knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and fleet safety. o Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment. Budget vs. Expenses of departments 2. 85% of all facilities have their annual workplace assessments/inspections completed as scheduled 3. All documented incidents are investigated and resolved with corrective action in a timely manner 4. Track and report the status of all audits, meetings, and action plans (timely and relevant) 5. Training/Certification completion and compliance 6. Increase Transaction value vs LY. 7. OSHA, Physical Security, Access Controls, and HCP Compliance 8. Quality of investigations and partnerships with HR and DGP (prosecution and/or corrective action records managed mostly independently, measured by feedback from team leaders). 9. Integrity, timeliness, and quality of LP reporting Physical Requirements/Work Environment: o Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and, occasionally, lift/move items up to 100 lbs. (e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture, etc.) o Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. o Moderate indoor noise with periodic exposure to outside temperature I understand this job description and requirements, and I am expected to complete all assigned duties.
