It is also a Pathway Hospital awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Responsibilities Provide safe, efficient, patient‑centered, evidence‑based medication services. Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards. Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences. Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients. Minimum Qualifications PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligibility for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and, where required, completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved immunization administration course within 90 days. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through AHA. For caregivers required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest, this is required within one year of hire. Completion of a post‑graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post‑graduate pharmacy experience. Post‑graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a specialized pharmacy practice area (e.g., Critical Care, Oncology). Preferred Qualifications Board certification. Physical Requirements Typical physical demands include ability to stand and walk for prolonged times (approximately 75% of shift) and continuously for extended periods. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Position often requires reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps, and sitting. Must have normal or corrected vision. Must be able to communicate verbally by phone or in person. Personal Protective Equipment Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
