Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients including those with Lymphoma, Leukemia, Hematology conditions, Radiation Oncology, and Gynecologic Oncology diagnoses
• Administer IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens, adhering to proper handling precautions including PPE protocols
• Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions related to chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications
• Manage set-rate drips including heparin and 24-hour chemotherapy infusions such as Methotrexate
• Document patient care accurately using Epic Beacon EMR
• Participate in a float rotation to General Medical level-of-care units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Hands-on experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications
• Ability to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Epic Beacon EMR for oncology documentation
• Experience working in an acute oncology or hematology inpatient setting
• Comfort working with telemetry monitoring systems (Philips)
