**Exciting Opportunity for Wound Care RN** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Registered Nurse - Wound Care - **Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:30) - **Scheduling:** Block schedules available - **Preferred Charting System:** Epic - **Years of Experience Required:** 2 years in a hospital setting - **Travel Experience:** Not required, but 5 years of hospital experience needed for first-time travelers - **Certifications Required:** - BLS - Wound Care Certification or WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse) - **Skills Required:** - Proficient in wound treatments and dressings, including: - Alginates - Autolytic debriding agents - Vacuum Assisted Closure - Wound Cultures - Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy* - Many more - **Patient Care:** - Engage with adults and geriatrics - Manage surgical, chronic, or trauma wounds - **Daily Patient Ratios:** - Days: 1:1 - Nights: 1:1 - Weekends: 1:1 - **Float Requirements:** Yes, to other units as needed - **Weekend Coverage:** Every other weekend, based on unit needs - **Orientation Hours:** 30 hours - **Patient Census:** Up to 10 patients daily - **Special Procedures/Unit Highlights:** - Must have specific experience in wound care and wound vacs - **Work Environment:** - Acute care hospital with a total of 212 staffed beds - Free parking provided **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
