The Role at a Glance

As the VP, RPS Investment & Wealth Products on the Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Product Solutions leadership team, you are responsible for determining strategy and leading constant improvement in product innovation and business development/expansion for the assigned product suite (IRA’s, collective investment trusts, mutual funds, etc.). You will communicate with all levels of Senior Management to ensure that the value proposition and product differentiating features for new innovations and market opportunities are consistent with Lincoln's branding, corporate image and strategic direction.

What you'll be doing

• Leads a department or multiple teams, primarily accountable for department-level goals
• Influences across multiple areas/functions to shape and lead strategic initiatives within and/or across departments, aligning execution with organizational priorities
• Identify investment products and IRA offerings that can readily integrate into the RPS business model, driving increased revenues and more competitive client offerings
• Establishes and implements priorities, directs departmental performance, shares expertise, and develops talent through hiring, training, feedback, and stretch opportunities to ensure strong results
• Provides highly specialized expertise and thought leadership to develop, create, implement and execute the business strategy for expansion into new markets while diversifying the business line product portfolio
• Partners with Senior Management and influences the strategic direction of a competitive product and solution set for new markets
• Creates business plans for the onboarding of new strategic partners
• Partners with Pricing and Business Line Leaders to analyze impacts of strategic solutions
• Determines the direction for business line or functional area in the strategic solution selection/review process
• Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure all investment solutions meet requirements of Product/Pricing
• Serves as a key contributor to the risk management process across their area of responsibility, analyzing potential impacts to LFG’s risk management programs, product pricing, business mix and assets under management
• Solicits and collects input from Senior Management and other internal stakeholders regarding the direction of a strategy within the business line
• Collaborates with Marketing Leaders to accurately position all strategy solutions in an open and easy to understand manner that is consistent with goals of the enterprise.
• Enhances communications across distribution on managed risk investment solutions, working closely with Funds Management, Sales, Marketing, and Training to ensure transparency
• Leads strategy to expand the pipeline of future products through innovation initiatives, identifying viable solutions in support of the strategic plan to diversify the business line product portfolio

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

• 12+ Years Experience in retirement product development and/or strategy development that aligns with the responsibilities
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
• Finds common ground and can gain collaboration and agreement among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding
• Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
• Prior experience building & leading direct and cross-functional teams, with demonstrated experience aligning those to a strategy

Nice-to-haves:

• Strong working knowledge of Investments and Wealth products
• Demonstrated storytelling capabilities, from idea concept through strategy development and alignment of resources

The pay range for this position is $192,750 - $308,400 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
