Job Description Associate Machinist (2nd Shift)

Shift & Pay:

• 2nd Shift Mon-Fri, 6 AM-2:30 PM
• $22/hour

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in machining and advanced manufacturing within a clean, modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain designated machines according to work instructions and standard procedures
• Follow detailed method documents to produce and inspect parts to specification
• Inspect parts for quality, cleanliness, and accuracy, including deburring when required
• Accurately document non-conforming materials and support corrective action efforts
• Perform basic mechanical assembly and support automated testing processes
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Operate inspection and measurement equipment as needed
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure equipment is in proper condition
• Support aircraft component assembly and general production tasks
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality goals

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of production, manufacturing, or assembly experience
• Basic understanding of machining or mechanical processes
• Ability to follow detailed instructions with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working under supervision in a structured environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed
• Experience using hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical assembly experience
• Exposure to manufacturing, machining, or automated testing environments
• Experience in aerospace or aircraft component assembly
• Previous work in a large-scale production or industrial setting

Work Environment

This position is based in a large, clean manufacturing facility and involves machining, assembly, and production operations. The role requires extended standing, use of tools and machinery, and handling materials in a structured, safety-focused environment that emphasizes quality and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
