Come join our team as a full-time Non IV Certified Licensed Practical Nurse with BJC Medical Group in Family Medicine located in Wentzville. This is a rare opportunity to join a great team!

Outpatient, 40-hours per week, Day Shift, Benefit Eligible, NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS.

Role Purpose

The Staff LPN Ambulatory is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider in an ambulatory care setting. Assigned tasks may include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications in-office, performing point of care lab testing, assisting with procedures, and triaging patient phone calls. All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with applicable state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.
• Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management, and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.
• Performs clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point of care testing, and medication administration. Assists with medical office procedures.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history, and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients, and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED - Nursing
• Experience: No Experience
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• Licenses & Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Associate or Trade School Equi- Nursing
