Office Manager, Part-time

Christ the King in Flint is accepting applications for a part time office manager. This role reports to the parish administrator and may require occasional local travel to Powers Catholic High School. This is an in-person position three days per week. The ideal candidate should be a practicing Catholic with a solid understanding of the faith and drive for evangelization. Duties include: Secretarial duties for the administrator Coordination of volunteers and VIRTUS. Answering all communications: emails, phone calls, mail Social media and website monitoring and posting. Maintains office record-keeping and filing systems. Attends staff meetings and other meetings as requested. Schedules parish facilities. Coordinates the use of keys and codes for facilities. Oversees the timely opening and secure closing of the office each day. Sets up service calls and coordinates contractors with maintenance staff. Oversees the inventory of office supplies. Orders materials, supplies or equipment as needed. Responsible for reviewing invoices and printing checks. Posting of Sunday collections. Updates parish census records on a regular basis. Maintain the parish offering envelope system regularly. Posts contributions weekly and compiles and mails annual contribution statements as required by the IRS. Coordinates scheduling of weddings, funerals, and other events. Contacts appropriate persons involved, communicates with families regarding procedure for service. Maintains the sacramental record keeping system. Records all weddings, baptisms, funerals as well as those who receive first Eucharist, and confirmation. Provides assistance to persons in need who come to the parish. Provides charitable assistance through referring persons to the appropriate charitable or social agencies, and offers clerical support to the food pantry as needed. Maintains Mass intention book, cards, and funds. Creates and publishes the parish bulletin. Interfaces with other parishes in the Deanery and with the Diocese of Lansing as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr Diocese of Lansing
