Senior Application Support EngineerWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in.NET technologies, SQL Server, SSIS, and retail domain applications. This is a critical, highly technical role focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of customer-facing and backend business applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Level 2/Level 3 production support, troubleshooting complex application issues, maintaining database systems, automating operational processes, and collaborating with both technical and business teams to resolve customer-impacting issues in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 production and application support for enterprise retail applicationsTroubleshoot and resolve customer-facing software and system issues across proprietary and third-party platformsMonitor production systems, interfaces, batch jobs, and application performanceSupport and maintain.NET applications, SQL Server databases, and SSIS packagesPerform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions for recurring incidentsUtilize PowerShell, T-SQL, and automation tools to optimize backend processes and operational workflowsDevelop internal support utilities and tools to improve operational efficiencyWork closely with technical and non-technical teams to resolve production and customer-impacting issuesParticipate in production release engineering and deployment support on a rotating basisAnalyze SQL queries and perform performance tuning and optimizationEnsure adherence to SLA commitments and ITIL support processesCreate and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base articlesRequired Skills10+ years of experience in Application Support / Production Support / Systems AnalysisStrong hands-on experience with: .NET / ASP.NET / C#SQL Server, T-SQLSSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)PowerShell scriptingExperience supporting enterprise retail or eCommerce applicationsStrong database troubleshooting and query optimization skillsExperience with incident management, defect resolution, and release supportHands-on experience with batch processing and job monitoringFamiliarity with ticketing and monitoring tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or RemedyExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environmentsStrong technical writing and documentation skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with CRM platforms or customer support systemsExperience with automation tools and AI-assisted operational workflowsKnowledge of POS systems, merchandising, warehouse management, inventory, or order management systemsExperience working in Agile and ITIL-based support environmentsExposure to Azure or cloud-based infrastructure environmentsDomain ExperienceRetail domain experience is requiredExperience supporting customer-facing retail applications, eCommerce platforms, warehouse operations, or order processing systems is highly preferredEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Required SkillsETL: Strong experience in designing and managing ETL processes for data integration and transformation.SQL: Advanced proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database optimization.SSIS: Hands-on expertise in building, deploying, and maintaining SSIS packages for data workflows..NET MVC Good to HaveAngular /ReactMAS500 (Sage MAS 500 ERP): Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly MAS500, for financial and operational data handling.EDI (Electronic Data Interchange): Experience in implementing and supporting EDI transactions for business-to-business communication.Seeburger: Knowledge of Seeburger middleware for integration and EDI solutions.
