District-wide Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

District-wide Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Brookline Public Schools, Brookline, Massachusetts. Job Description The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication difficulties in school‑age children. This position also serves students with complex medical needs, students on the autism spectrum, students with hearing loss, and students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. The SLP collaborates with families, educators, and other professionals to support children’s communication development and access to the school curriculum. Job Responsibilities Providing individual and small‑group speech and language therapy to students with the service on their IEPs. Consulting with general education and special education staff regarding student needs and best practices. Completing and presenting speech and language assessments at IEP meetings. Monitoring student progress through data collection. Completing IEPs and progress reports and attending IEP annual review meetings. Maintaining regular communication with parents. Designing and implementing inclusion interventions and instruction focused on fostering all students’ communication skills. Assisting the School Principal or Director of Special Education as designated. Required Qualifications Current MA DESE licensure in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders. Experience working with children on the autism spectrum. Excellent knowledge of child development. Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams across multiple sites to meet student needs. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to adapt services to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong organizational and time‑management skills to effectively manage caseloads. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. This position involves travel between school sites on a daily or weekly basis.
