Location New York City (strongly preferred), Remote considered Reports To Manager, Financial Data Application Specialists About The Role The Financial Data Application Specialist role at AlphaSense lives at the intersection of sales, customer success, and technical implementation for AlphaSense’s financial data products. This is a new team supporting a strategic area of investment for the business, so we are looking for entrepreneurial‑minded people who can use learnings from client discussions to help optimize both our go‑to‑market and product strategies. Specialists add value across our revenue organization by building relationships with prospects and clients, providing deep technical knowledge to demonstrate the value of AlphaSense’s financial data while helping to drive adoption. Due to the extensive exposure that Specialists have with clients, they’re also in a prime location to partner with our sales, product, marketing and leadership teams in determining future product developments that will resonate with the market. What You’ll Do Growth Initiatives: Assist sales in demos and strategic trials of AlphaSense’s financial data solutions. The team also runs trial training calls, making the ability to overcome common objections and communicate our value proposition essential to success. Customer Health: Work hand in hand with account management, speaking with and visiting users to provide advanced training, customizations, and product consultations. Drive adoption by building custom templates or other bespoke modeling tools for customers. Subject Matter Expert: Apply quantitative analysis for investment and valuation decisions. Package use cases for sales and account management through how‑to videos, enablement, product marketing, support articles, and other materials used for meetings or email distribution. Product Direction: Use deep understanding of financial data products and customers to deliver feedback and identify product opportunities, relaying information across the organization. Support: Act as an escalation point for product and support teams on difficult scenarios customers may face, especially with Excel Add‑ins, managing and resolving integration challenges into client workflows. Who You Are Client‑facing professional with a superior ability to develop rapport and maintain relationships, combined with a positive and proactive personality. Finance background wanting to spend time being client facing and engaged with senior investment professionals. Committed to becoming a SME for financial data across all industries, personas, and verticals. Passion for technology, AI, and the capital markets. Excellent in 360‑degree communication and collaboration. Ability to distill and explain complex issues in simple terms. Genuine interest in learning how the tools built contribute to client processes and identifying solutions for client needs. Intrinsically motivated with the ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture. Strong time management and task prioritization skills. Independent problem‑solver, making multiple efforts to solve problems on own before escalating. Comfortable working in ambiguity, flexible enough to adapt as needed to drive customer happiness. Familiar with the institutional investor landscape, financial markets, and investment research. Minimum Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance, such as working towards CFA or bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Accounting. Alternatively, at least 2 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment management, private equity, accounting, or consulting with a strong desire to move into client‑facing roles. Strong Excel abilities (nice to have: familiarity with AI‑powered spreadsheet tools and/or experience leveraging generative AI tools within productivity software). Excellent communication skills, managing relationships with high‑profile fund managers and junior analysts alike. Base Compensation Range

$100,000—$125,000 USD
