Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team at Tampico Healthcare Center in Walnut Creek, CA! As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physical therapy interventions to our residents, working closely with our Physical Therapist to ensure the highest degree of quality care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist Record treatments given and note progress in medical records Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase resident independence and functioning Communicate changes in resident condition to interdisciplinary team members Provide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentation Coordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staff Educate and train patients, caregivers, and community partners Ensure compliance with community mandatory education, training, and competence programs Perform screening rounds to assess client needs and environmental safety Provide recommendations for business improvement, safety concerns, or other updates Requirements Current, unencumbered, active Physical Therapy Assistant License (required) We welcome new grads!
