Position Summary

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Provide leadership for all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, quality control, and transportation coordination.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse leadership and frontline teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Establish operational priorities that maximize productivity, improve service levels, and ensure timely execution of customer commitments.
• Evaluate current workflows and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall performance.
• Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures to promote consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Utilize operational reporting and performance metrics to identify trends, measure results, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to align distribution strategies with broader business objectives.
• Oversee inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting, inventory controls, and process discipline.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies while promoting a safe working environment.
• Support workforce planning, succession planning, employee development, and performance management initiatives.
• Champion operational excellence by identifying opportunities for automation, technology enhancements, and process optimization.

• Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation, and distribution best practices.
• Proven ability to analyze operational data, develop meaningful performance metrics, and translate insights into measurable business improvements.
• Experience designing and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and employee development skills with experience building high-performing teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
• Experience leading organizational change, driving accountability, and improving operational performance through continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations, including experience managing leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with inventory optimization, quality assurance, transportation operations, and warehouse process improvement initiatives is strongly preferred.
