Store Operations ManagerBrown Jug, a leading premium retailer of wine, beer, and spirits in Alaska, is seeking a results-driven, operations-focused Store Operations Manager. This individual will support the Store Manager in running a high-volume, multimillion-dollar retail business while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and community responsibility.The Store Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role, focused on inventory management, financial oversight, team development, execution of retail programs, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to driving performance, developing talent, and improving operational outcomes.This position will assist the Brown Jug Wasilla Walmart Store located at 1350 South Seward Meridian Parkway.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial and Inventory Management:Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies that meet or exceed the store's profitability goalsOversee accurate inventory controls: ordering, receiving, cycle counts, and shrink managementMonitor and ensure compliance with financial procedures including invoice verification, cash handling, deposits, and reconciliationProduce and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to sales performance, labor costs, inventory, and loss preventionAdjust scheduling to align labor costs with sales forecasts and operational needsPartner on initiatives to maximize return on investment and improve overall store efficiencyOperational Execution:Ensure flawless execution of daily operations and corporate programsMonitor store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising to meet brand standardsManage store-level communications including promotions, events, and internal updatesDrive execution of visual and promotional programs, and assess performance outcomesSet daily priorities and align team members to achieve goalsMaintain organized records, documentation, and compliance logsRegulatory Compliance and Safety:Ensure adherence to all health, safety, alcohol service, and labor regulationsMaintain employee training certifications (TAP, RServing, First Aid, etc.) and ensure all staff are compliantCoordinate audits and inspections; follow up on corrective actions where necessaryEnforce internal safety and loss prevention policies to safeguard employees and assetsUphold all Company and Afognak Native Corporation policies, particularly around Social ResponsibilityLeadership and Team Development:Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven cultureCoach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback and structured development plansAddress performance issues, using progressive discipline and support team accountabilityLead daily huddles and weekly team meetings to set expectations and review prioritiesPartner with Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and succession planningPromote a high-standard work environment with clear expectations and timely recognitionCustomer Engagement and Service Excellence:Model and enforce LSUN's 5 Non-Negotiables: Greet, Engage, Build, Add-On, ThankResolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgencyMonitor customer feedback via surveys or direct interaction, and recommend improvementsReinforce company programs and promotions to maximize customer value and satisfactionScheduling Requirements:To set the example of store excellence and ensure a solid awareness of all aspects of store operations, balancing the tasks with all managers in the store.Following the business needs using the heat map of customer flow.
