About the role
A well-established, family-run heating, cooling and energy company in Montrose, PA is hiring an experienced HVAC Service & Install Technician. You'll do it all, with no split between service and install, and you'll know your schedule ahead of time. It's a stable team where good people stay.

What you'll do

• Work scheduled service and install jobs: boiler installs, cleanings (often about 4 a day), no-heat calls and maintenance, mostly residential
• Start at the shop around 8 AM, grab any parts you need (the van is mostly stocked) and head out to your jobs
• Log parts and finish paperwork on a company tablet
• Work solo some days and alongside another tech on installs on others
• Take part in a monthly on-call rotation, 1 week a month with a 4-tech rotation
• Get paid ride-alongs with a senior tech with 30+ years to learn the systems and paperwork

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of HVAC experience (15+ is ideal), mostly residential
• EPA refrigerant certification
• Comfortable with service, maintenance, no-heats and installs, including boilers
• Able to pass a background check, drug test and driving record check
• Your own basic hand tools
• A positive, team-first attitude and good communication
• Non-union

Nice to have

• NORA certification
• Water filtration or generator installation experience
• CTEP (propane) certification (the company trains on it)

Pay and benefits

• $26 to $30 per hour, with overtime at time and a half (it runs high in winter)
• $100 stipend for each on-call week
• Profit-sharing, usually paid out before Christmas, plus a $100 Christmas gift

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, about 8 AM to 4 PM
• On-call rotation: Friday 4 PM to Thursday 8 AM, 1 week a month, with a company cell phone
