Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Journeyman Electrician role at a large pharmaceutical site. The Journeyman Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in an industrial environment. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting prints and electrical schematics, running conduit, pulling wire, installing panels and devices, and ensuring all work meets applicable codes and safety standards. The role involves diagnosing electrical issues, performing troubleshooting, and completing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The Journeyman Electrician will collaborate with project leads, apprentices, and customers, maintain accurate documentation of work performed, and uphold job site cleanliness and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong practical skills in electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of tools, materials, and energized systems.
• Proficiency in maintenance & repair tasks for electrical systems, components, and equipment in varied environments.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles as they apply to load calculations, circuits, and system design is preferred.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license, with knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical installations and service work.
• Commitment to safety practices, including use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Ability to read prints and technical diagrams, use test equipment, and complete accurate paperwork.
• Reliable transportation to the job site in Kalamazoo, MI, with willingness to work a full-time schedule and occasional overtime as needed.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a crew, and a focus on customer service and professionalism.
