Duration: 14 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts
Shift Timing: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced RN - Ambulatory (Hematology/Oncology) to provide specialized nursing care within an outpatient oncology setting. The RN will be responsible for performing patient assessments, administering treatments and infusion therapies, monitoring patient responses, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Candidates with recent outpatient oncology and infusion experience are strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in an ambulatory hematology/oncology setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor treatment responses
• Administer medications, infusion therapies, and supportive oncology treatments
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in condition
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, oncology specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Deliver patient care with minimal orientation and supervision

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care nursing experience within the past 2 years
• Strong patient assessment and clinical care skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ambulatory environment
• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

Education Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required

Licensure / Certification:

• Active New York State RN License required
• BLS Certification required
