As an Associate Chaplain, you will play a meaningful role in delivering pastoral care across Good Samaritan Hospital, Bethesda North Hospital, and Hospice of Cincinnati—offering presence, listening, and support during moments that matter most. Location Bethesda North Hospital, 10500 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242 Work Schedule PRN Shift varies Weekend, Holiday, and On‑call rotation Incentives & Benefits This position is classified as PRN and is not eligible for TriHealth benefits. Minimum Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED (Required) 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education to be completed within 6 months of hire (2 units preferred) Ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith group within 180 days (required) Completion of 20 hours of continuing pastoral education for non-certified chaplains Job Responsibilities Document patients’ spiritual needs and advance directives in EPIC; inform patients of spiritual opportunities available. Provide emotional and spiritual support through prayer, listening presence, and flexibility in cross‑coverage for sicknesses and vacations. Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by providing services and participating in on‑call as appropriate; support assigned units through patient care rounds and team engagement. Function as a positive member of the pastoral care team. Pursue continued professional development, including completion of Clinical Pastoral Education and other pastoral education. Professional Development TriHealth supports completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), pursuit of ordination or endorsement, and other chaplaincy professional development.
