Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery – Full Time Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work Hours Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with weekend, holiday, and occasional call requirements. Department Highlights Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team 18-bed LDR's; 5-bay OB/ED; 5 triage rooms; 3 OR suites Average 275+ deliveries per month Wide range of patients and plan of care – nitrous oxide, midwifery and high-risk patients. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited nursing program OR nursing diploma (required). BSN is preferred. CLIAFE compliance (regarding foreign education equivalency) required. Registered Nurse (RN) status upon hire required. One (1) year experience as an RN, or completion of an RN residency program required. One (1) year or more of Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care and maintenance quarterly required. ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire. NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days. NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days. CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training, maintained annually within 90 days. Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Assesses the patient. Plans the care of the patient. Intervenes as appropriate. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' needs for information. Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
