Production supervisor

job summary:
National manufacturer is seeking multiple, direct-hire Production Supervisors. These positions are located near Eclectic, Alabama and will be on night shift (6:30p-4:30a). The Production Supervisors will oversee daily operations, mentor and train staff to achieve peak performance, and drive lean manufacturing initiatives to ensure optimal safety, quality, and productivity.

The salary is commensurate with experience ranging from $70K to $85K, plus a potential bonus, and other great benefits! All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.

responsibilities:

• Achieves results by establishing priorities, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, or procedures

• Maintains quality of staff by hiring, training, developing, and mentoring employees to ensure maximum performance

• Manages workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel, and developing reporting procedures

• Implement existing production standards and make adjustments as necessary to produce products within specifications

• Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work, internal or external audits

• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements

• Complete administration duties that include time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back-order reviews, past due list, and safety violations/concerns
