Security SupervisorAdministers and coordinates all security activity for an assigned shift.Essential Job DutiesEnsures compliance with company policies and internal controls.Directs employees in the security process.Ensure Officers perform duties properly and efficiently.Prepares daily shift reports. Approves reports to ensure all necessary information is documented.Establishes teamwork within department and with other departments.Maintain employee attendance calendar and completion of employee evaluations and increases.Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.Supplemental Job DutiesReport to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.Knows and performs all Security functions.Responsible for contacting law enforcement authorities when necessary.Attends all required meetings and training sessions.Performs other job related duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position will have the authority to; make decisions necessary for carrying out the above listed job duties, make recommendations to; hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, provide training opportunities, approve wage increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling and invoke disciplinary action within approved guidelines. This position may have other supervisory authority assigned as necessary through management. This position has direct supervision over the Officer, Lead EMT, EMT, Key Master and the Assistant Shift Supervisor. This position has signatory authority for jackpot payout slips, fill/credit slips, controlled keys log, and incident and accident reports.Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsMay be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Performs physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and reaching. Long periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be confidential.Minimum Job QualificationsKnowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Requires high school diploma or GED. Must have one (1) year of security or related experience. Requires six (6) months of supervisory experience. Must be knowledgeable in gaming policies and procedures and have a good understanding of casino operations. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission. Applicant must not have a criminal history that includes a serious misdemeanor or above for such crimes as theft or any crimes which constitute moral depravity or moral corruption. A history of multiple simple misdemeanor crimes which show the pattern of a habitual violator will also be grounds for denial of employment.At interview applicant must be able to pass a basic math test of 11 word problems missing no more than 4 problems. If the first test is failed, a second will be given with no more than 4 of 10 answers to be missed.Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work directly with the general public. Requires the ability to see details at close range and from a distance. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Requires comprehensive reading and writing skills. Must possess poise and tact. Must be self-motivated, responsible and must possess leadership qualities and effectively instruct and guide all subordinates. Must be dependable, courteous and reliable. Must be flexible with work shifts and days off. Must have good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.Preference: Members of the Meskwaki Nation and other Native American Tribes who are qualified applicants are encouraged to apply and will be given preference in accordance to established procedures.RestrictionsThis position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments.
