What You Will Be Doing As the Materials & Processes Engineer Sr Stf - Composites - Level 5 you will be responsible for applying composite material engineering principles to enable manufacturing and research & development of composite parts. Interface internally and with suppliers on technical issues with composite raw materials, new materials and processes, manufacturing plans, and parts fabrication. Develop and implement composite research and qualification plans, including process development and material characterization. Author and maintain composite material and process specifications. Advise on appropriate selection of materials and processes for parts and products. Provide direct M&P support to assembly and fabrication operations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Composites, Polymers, or Chemistry Experience leading technical teams Experience in Aerospace Composite materials Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans Desired Skills Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment Experience transitioning composite process research to production environments Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level Secret Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
