Safe Haven Case Manager - 2nd Shift

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center Safe Haven Rape Crisis Domestic Violence Shelter Full-time | Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. (midnight) Help survivors build safety, stability, and independence. At Appleseed, we walk alongside individuals and families as they work toward healthier, more stable lives. As part of our Safe Haven team, you’ll provide compassionate support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. We’re looking for a dependable, caring individual to provide case management, crisis support, and advocacy while helping maintain a safe and welcoming shelter environment. Why you’ll love working with Appleseed Supportive team environment with accessible leadership Collaboration with coworkers and community partners Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training Meaningful work that directly impacts individuals and families in your community What you’ll do Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered case management to shelter residents and individuals who have recently transitioned out of shelter Complete needs assessments and develop individualized service and safety plans Help survivors access housing, employment, education, transportation, healthcare, and other essential resources Provide confidential crisis support through the hotline, online chat, text, and in-person services Assist with Victims of Crime Compensation applications and VINE registration Provide hospital and court advocacy and coordinate with community agencies Educate survivors about domestic violence, sexual assault, safety planning, and life skills Facilitate or assist with support groups Respond to resident needs and help resolve conflicts using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques Support daily shelter operations, including general cleaning, room checks, supply monitoring, and upkeep of shared spaces Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training What we’re looking for Understanding of trauma-informed care, domestic and sexual violence, and survivor advocacy Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to remain calm and supportive during crisis situations Ability to work independently and collaboratively Respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences Commitment to confidentiality, client rights, and ethical practice Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant domestic violence services experience will be considered in place of a preferred degree Ability to work Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–midnight Willingness to obtain Registered Advocate certification after hire and maintain certification throughout employment Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and operate standard office equipment Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening Medical, dental, and vision coverage 403(b) retirement plan with employer match 32+ paid days off annually , including: Minimum 2 weeks vacation 6 self-care days 8 sick days 8 paid holidays Employee Assistance Program & wellness app Continuing education & professional development opportunities In-house pharmacy access Annual performance-based pay increases Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer Help us build relationships that make a difference.
