This free-standing cancer center provides specialized hematology and oncology services to an adult patient population within a structured on-site clinic setting. The facility is supported by a clinical team that includes a hematologist/oncologist, two APPs, and RNs to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery. Coverage is sought due to an increase in patient volume, and established clinical protocols are in place to support quality oncologic and hematologic care throughout the assignment period.

The surrounding area offers a range of cultural and entertainment options suited to varied interests. The Palace Theater anchors a historic theater district and hosts musicals, concerts, comedy, and family events throughout the year, while the Mattatuck Museum and Brass City Raceway provide free attractions reflecting the region's identity as a former center of brass manufacturing. Dining options range from neighborhood bars with established roots to family-run Italian restaurants, providing clinicians on assignment with accessible leisure choices during time away from clinical duties.

Clinicians will provide on-site hematology and oncology coverage at a free-standing cancer center, delivering weekend clinic services for an adult patient population and managing 15-18 patients per day. The clinical scope encompasses general hematologic and oncologic conditions, with a distribution of approximately 40% hematology and 60% oncology, and participation in tumor boards is required. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, structured at a 1:3 ratio during the week and 1:5 on weekends. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system for patient encounters and treatment planning activities.
