Logistics Analyst

Title: Logistics Analyst Industry: Logistics and Global Supply Chain Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: ASAP start; 2 years; full-time hours Responsibilities Facilitate and expedite product movement across the global supply chain, coordinating with freight forwarders, distribution operations, carriers, customs brokers, compliance teams, and internal stakeholders. Monitor, track, trace, rate, and route inbound shipments; adjust service levels and manage exceptions to support on-time delivery and international shipping compliance. Analyze transportation and logistics performance, including carrier performance, optimization opportunities, cost savings, claims, and settlement activities. Develop and distribute financial forecasts, exception-management reports, and monthly or quarterly carrier performance reports with actionable recommendations. Identify root causes and implement analytical, technical, and process-improvement solutions, including compliance-violation reporting and chargeback support. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus, with demonstrated planning, project management, and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, decision‑making, follow‑up, and attention‑to‑detail skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of optimization techniques, routing tools, transportation operations, and performance metrics; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and related desktop applications. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate forecasts and guidance clearly to business partners and senior leadership, including non‑native English speakers. Adaptable team contributor who can independently learn new applications and processes, train or cross‑train others, respond promptly to requests, and work extended hours when business volume requires it.
