Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Float within scope to like units as needed, consistent with expectations for staff nurses
• Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling requirements
• Complete charting and documentation accurately using Epic EMR
• Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be a travel nurse with no prior permanent or PRN employment at this facility within the past year
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Familiarity with Epic EMR charting system
