Express Employment Professionals located in Broward County South, FL is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for developing new business relationships, generating sales opportunities, and expanding our client base through B2B prospecting, outside sales, cold calling, networking, and face-to-face business development.

The ideal candidate is a confident, energetic sales professional who enjoys being in the field, meeting business owners and decision-makers, and turning prospects into long-term staffing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and generate new business through B2B sales, outside sales, cold calling, networking, referrals, and door-to-door prospecting.
• Identify and target businesses that have staffing, recruiting, and workforce needs.
• Conduct in-person visits to local businesses to introduce Express Employment Professionals and our staffing solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, HR professionals, hiring managers, and other decision-makers.
• Schedule and conduct client meetings, presentations, and staffing needs assessments.
• Generate qualified leads and consistently maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Make a high volume of outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person sales visits.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and existing clients to develop new opportunities.
• Utilize CRM and sales management systems to track leads, activities, appointments, opportunities, and client interactions.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activity, follow-ups, and business development efforts.
• Work closely with the recruiting and staffing team to understand client needs and deliver qualified candidates.
• Develop new accounts while expanding business with existing clients.
• Meet or exceed established sales activity, appointment, revenue, and new-client goals.
• Stay informed about local business trends, labor market conditions, and staffing needs.
• Represent Express Employment Professionals professionally within the local business community.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of B2B, outside sales, business development, staffing, recruiting, or related sales experience preferred.
• Staffing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to prospect and generate new business independently.
• Comfortable with cold calling and door-to-door/in-person sales.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using a CRM, ATS, sales pipeline, or other sales tracking system.
• Strong follow-up skills and ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities.
• Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and goal-oriented.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local business development activities.
