Description:
This position involves providing care as a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
The role requires coverage for inpatient rehab patients.
The physician will be responsible for managing a patient panel of up to 23 rehab patients.
Each patient must be seen a minimum of three times a week per regulatory requirements.
The physician will generally work in a consulting capacity alongside an attending physician.
Weekly shifts are scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes to 1 hour.
A minimum of 4 weeks of coverage is required each month, with potential adjustments for time off during certain weeks as needed.
Patient encounters per shift will range from 15 to 23.
The facility features 46 acute inpatient rehab beds and emphasizes collaboration among physicians.
Long-term housing arrangements should be discussed prior to the assignment.
The facility does not require involvement in interventional pain management procedures.
Rehab physicians are expected to practice at the highest level of their training and provide supportive care.
