Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3+ years of recent emergency department experience preferred License: Michigan Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: 3+ years of recent emergency department experience Description: Attention to detail is crucial for nurses. Nurses assist doctors in operations, administer medications, and work with specific treatments that, if executed incorrectly, could have severe consequences. Organizational skills are vital for nurses. They manage multiple patients with differing needs, requiring effective prioritization. Calmness under pressure is essential. Emergency room nurses encounter life-or-death scenarios frequently and must perform effectively in high-stress situations. Patience is necessary for providing care in challenging circumstances. Nurses must communicate effectively with patients who may be scared, in pain, or in shock. Families will have questions and require answers.
