Cardiac rhythm proficiency. Identification of cardiac emergencies. Description: The position involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The role requires monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with various departments to enhance patient comfort and care outcomes. The RN will utilize the nursing process to provide care to post-procedural cardiac patients. The responsibilities include maintaining professional accountability for the care provided. Evaluation of the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers is essential. Coordination of patient care in conjunction with other departments is required. The RN must uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Duties must be performed consistently with established guidelines of nursing practice. In this unit, the RN cares for critically ill patients pre and post invasive cardiac procedures. Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths is preferred. The role demands significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting patients with assistance. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is involved. The RN must possess a compassionate, empathetic nature and strong attention to detail. Reliability and a good work ethic are vital for success in this position.
