Histology Technician - ASCPJoin a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients in the Atlanta area. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Histology Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering accurate and timely laboratory results.Qualifications:Associate Degree with a combination of 12 semester hours of both biology and chemistryCompletion of a NAACLS accredited HTOne year of Laboratory experienceCertifications:HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)Responsibilities:Process tissue specimens for histological analysis, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting on slides.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.Prepare reagents and stains used in histological procedures according to established protocols.Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain the integrity of laboratory results.Maintain accurate records of specimen processing, staining procedures, and laboratory documentation.
