Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Valid Iowa nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: - BLS certification - Mandatory reporter certification - EPIC experience - 1 supervisory reference Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Patient ratios are 3:1. Types of surgeries performed include outpatient surgeries and infusion patients. Infusion medications include blood, platelets, IVIG, IV fluids, and antibiotics (no chemotherapy). A driver's license is required. A work history and resume are required. A skills checklist must have been completed within one year of submission date. License verification is required. One supervisory reference is required at the time of submission. Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility. Weekend call coverage includes one weekend per month and roughly four weekday calls per month. Holiday call may be necessary if coverage is needed.
