Emergency Medicine Physician Rural Texas
She Recruits is partnering with a rural Texas critical access hospital to recruit an Emergency Medicine Physician (or qualified FP/IM with ER experience) for a very low-volume emergency department. If you're looking for autonomy, lighter patient load, and a slower-paced environment this is that role. Compensation $150 per hour (1099) Flexible 24-hour or 48-hour shift options.
Schedule 1:00 PM 1:00 AM 1:00 AM 1:00 PM 24-hour or 48-hour shift models available Physician or APP coverage model Designed for providers comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting.
Facility Overview 14-bed hospital (surge capacity to 25) 4-bed Emergency Department ~5,655 annual ED visits ~16 visits per day Average 0.6 patients per hour 7% admission rate 11% transfer rate EMR: Epic Patient satisfaction accountability in place This is truly a low-volume, low-admit, rural emergency setting.
Clinical Environment Independent practice model Low acuity overall Transfer support available for higher complexity ATLS required (BC/EM not required) Board Certification accepted in: Family Medicine Internal Medicine Emergency Medicine FNP / PA (for APP shifts) Requirements Board Certified (FP, IM, or EM) OR qualified APP ACLS required ATLS required PALS required Texas license or eligibility
