Position Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Contract Plant Controller to support the financial operations of a manufacturing facility. This role serves as a key business partner to site leadership, providing financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational support to help drive business performance. The Plant Controller will be responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, identifying process improvements, and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization. 

This is a contract assignment supporting a manufacturing operation in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead financial reporting processes and enhance reporting capabilities to meet business needs efficiently. 
• Analyze financial results, prepare variance analyses, and communicate findings and recommendations to management. 
• Prepare and distribute financial reports through the collection, analysis, and presentation of operational and financial data. 
• Oversee accounts payable and invoicing functions to ensure timely and accurate processing. 
• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review. 
• Develop annual budgets and support monthly forecasting processes. 
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational and financial performance reviews. 
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing requested documentation and analysis. 
• Review existing financial and operational procedures and recommend process improvements and best practices. 
• Identify cost drivers and partner with operational leadership to improve profitability and efficiency. 
• Lead and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to improve business results. 
• Assist with special projects and other financial initiatives as needed. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Five or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis preferred. 
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, financial simplification, and operational support. 
• Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and financial reporting software. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis. 
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operational and executive leadership teams. 
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing business needs. 
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
