Energy Engineer

Where Is The Work Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires. What you will do Participate as a team member of a project development team for the development of energy saving construction projects. Perform building surveys and audits to identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) for architectural, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Analyze and document existing building operation. Complete utility analysis by quantifying and benchmarking a building’s energy use. Review and understand utility rate tariffs. Quantify the energy savings for each ECM via a building simulation / energy model or by utilizing spreadsheet calculations. Work with local utility companies to secure rebates and incentives for our customers. Oversee the measurement and verification of the project’s ECMs. Review building automation control systems to validate system performance and provide recommendations for optimization. Provide key technical support in pursuit of Trane business, including participation on strategic job acquisition teams. Assist and support all efforts of acquisition and customer satisfaction. Some travel required. What you will bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology discipline. Entry level, degreed candidates are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, Building Automation (BAS) systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred. Experience in effectively understanding and manipulation of technical information and responding to questions from fellow engineers. Experience collecting data, analyzing and presenting data in a clear and accurate manner. Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and office equipment required.
