Compensation: $230.00 – $304.00 per day (Estimated pre-tax potential; piece-rate pay structure)

Position Overview

4Paths Deliveries is seeking professional, self-motivated Independent Contracted Drivers to provide last-mile delivery services throughout the Bozeman area . As an independent 1099 contractor, you will manage your own operations and business entity, giving you the flexibility to execute local deliveries while maintaining responsibility for your own business expenses and tax withholdings.

Compensation & Pay Structure

Earnings are volume-based and paid via a precise, competitive piece-rate system. While daily income varies based on efficiency and package volume, contractors realistically have the potential to earn $230 to $305 per day (pre-tax) :

• $1.70 for the initial package dropped off at any unique address.
• $0.70 for each subsequent package delivered to that exact same account and address on the same trip.

Core Responsibilities

• Warehouse Processing: Report to the local warehouse daily to accurately sort, scan, and label all inventory for your assigned route.
• Same-Day Execution: Safely transport and distribute packages to residential and commercial addresses, ensuring all assigned route deliveries are fully completed on the same day as warehouse pick-up .
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all company and delivery client rules, regulations, and quality guidelines at all times.
• Route Management: Efficiently utilize logistics software to navigate routes and log delivery statuses in real-time.
• Business Management: Independently oversee your own vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and operational logistics.

Contractor Requirements

Vehicle & Equipment Specs

• Cargo Capacity: Vehicles must have sufficient volume to carry a minimum of 150–200 packages per route . ( SUVs, minivans, cargo vans, or covered trucks are highly ideal but not explicitly required ).
• Winter Readiness: Due to severe Bozeman winter weather , vehicles equipped with AWD/4WD or high-quality snow tires are strongly preferred.
• Technology: Must provide a modern smartphone capable of running the delivery app, supported by an active mobile service plan with reliable data.
• Operational Gear: Must supply your own personal safety and efficiency equipment ( e.g., high-visibility safety vests, flashlights/headlamps, vehicle phone mounts, and portable phone chargers ).

Legal & Background Verification

• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work and operate a vehicle in the United States.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license backed by a clean driving record.
• Insurance: Must provide proof of an active auto insurance policy meeting all state and commercial compliance standards.
• Screening: Must be willing to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check and a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.
• Experience: Prior professional delivery experience is valued and preferred, but not strictly required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to be considered
• Must have no felony conviction or pending felony charge within the past seven (7) years involving violence, theft, fraud, controlled substances, or sexual misconduct, and no other conviction that reasonably relates to the ability to perform delivery services safely and lawfully.
• Must have no conviction for driving under the influence or reckless driving within the past five (5) years
• Must have no license suspension or revocation within the past three (3) years, other than an administrative suspension for a non-driving reason.
• Must have no more than two (2) moving violations or at-fault accidents within the past three (3) years.
