The Director, IT Infrastructure, will serve as the senior technology leader responsible for the strategy, architecture, delivery, operations, security alignment, resilience, and continuous improvement of SK Life Science's infrastructure foundation. The Associate Director will closely work with parent and sister companies of SK Life Science in network and infrastructure integration and daily operation.

This position will lead the infrastructure capabilities that enable secure, reliable, scalable, and compliant business and laboratory operations across corporate offices, laboratory environments, Azure cloud services, network connectivity, end-user computing, collaboration technology, and IT service operations. The role will partner with business leaders, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Information Security, Enterprise Applications, Facilities, and external service providers to ensure infrastructure services support regulated operations, validated systems, critical business applications, and organizational growth.

The Associate Director is also responsible for overseeing and continuously improving IT Help Desk operations, ensuring timely, effective, and customer-focused support for SK Life Science and SK Labs employees, contractors, and approved business users.

The Director requires strong leadership and hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, AWS, endpoint management, identity and access controls, monitoring, vendor-managed services, disaster recovery, and infrastructure operations within a pharmaceutical or life-sciences environment.

Responsibilities

Lead infrastructure and Help Desk service delivery: Direct the day-to-day operation, availability, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and IT Help Desk services for SK Life Science and SK Labs. Oversee ticket intake, triage, assignment, escalation, resolution, user communications, knowledge management, and customer experience, ensuring requests, incidents, service requests, and onboarding/offboarding activities meet defined service levels and security requirements.

Manage network, connectivity, and cloud infrastructure: Oversee local-area networks, wireless, switching, firewalls, VPNs, Internet and carrier services, network segmentation, inter-site connectivity, and Azure cloud infrastructure. This includes cloud networking, resource administration, access management, configuration control, monitoring, backup and recovery integration, and cost-management support across Paramus, KOP, SK Labs, Azure, and approved SKBP connectivity.

Maintain resilience, monitoring, and recovery readiness: Ensure operational readiness of redundant ISP connectivity, network high availability, Meraki AutoVPN, Azure virtual-network services, site-to-site VPNs, and supporting infrastructure. Maintain monitoring, alerting, event management, and performance reporting through approved platforms, including LogicMonitor, Meraki Dashboard, Microsoft Sentinel, and related tools. Plan, coordinate, and document approved failover, failback, disaster-recovery, and service-restoration tests.

Lead endpoint, workplace, and laboratory infrastructure services: Oversee endpoint lifecycle management, Microsoft Intune, patching and device compliance, IT asset management, mobile-device services, conference-room technology, remote access, and hardware/software procurement workflows. Ensure laboratory users, lab devices, and regulated or business-critical network zones receive reliable, secure, and appropriately segmented infrastructure services in coordination with laboratory leadership, Quality Assurance, and Information Security.

Manage incident, problem, change, and compliance processes: Lead infrastructure incident response, major-incident technical coordination, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, change-control execution, release readiness, and post-incident reviews. Ensure infrastructure services and changes support applicable SDLC, computer-system validation, data integrity, GxP, electronic records, electronic signatures, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, where applicable.

Coordinate infrastructure security and risk controls: Partner with Information Security to implement and maintain network segmentation, secure remote access, vulnerability remediation, endpoint compliance, logging, Conditional Access, privileged-access controls, security baselines, and Zero Trust-aligned capabilities.

Manage documentation, vendors, and infrastructure delivery: Maintain current, secure, access-controlled documentation for network diagrams, circuit inventories, device configurations, carrier contacts, power dependencies, cloud-resource ownership, support contracts, configuration backups, and emergency procedures. Manage managed service providers, carriers, vendors, consultants, and contractors; track SLAs, escalations, performance, deliverables, invoicing, renewals, and corrective actions. Lead assigned infrastructure initiatives from requirements and planning through testing, implementation, operational handoff, and stakeholder communication.

Develop team capability and operational discipline: Lead assigned employees, contractors, and vendor resources; establish clear service ownership; promote documentation and knowledge transfer; and build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related discipline required.

Equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered.

Relevant certifications are preferred, including Microsoft Azure, Cisco/Meraki, ITIL, project management, cloud architecture, endpoint management, or cybersecurity certifications.

Infrastructure leadership: 10+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise infrastructure architecture, implementation, operations, modernization, and support in a complex business environment.

Network and cloud expertise: Strong experience with enterprise networking, WAN/Internet connectivity, firewalls, switching, wireless, VPN, high availability, Azure cloud infrastructure, and hybrid-cloud operations.

Endpoint and workplace services: Proven experience managing endpoint engineering, Intune or comparable endpoint-management platforms, patching, asset lifecycle, mobility, and end-user technology services.

Operational leadership: Experience leading incident, problem, change, release, capacity, availability, vendor, and service-level management processes.

Life sciences and compliance: Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or another regulated environment; familiarity with GxP, computer system validation, change control, audit readiness, and data-integrity expectations.

Security collaboration: Experience implementing infrastructure security controls and partnering with cybersecurity teams on segmentation, vulnerability management, privileged access, logging, monitoring, and incident response.

Leadership and communication: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage managed-service vendors, translate business needs into infrastructure solutions, prioritize investments, and communicate effectively with executive leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $190,000 to $230,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.
