Senior CAD Technician DET - Bridge Design Drafter

Overview Janssen & Spaans Engineering (JSE) is looking for a Senior CAD Technician (DET ) to join our team! COMPENSATION COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE. This role provides engineering excellence, plans, identifies, prioritizes, tracks and monitors tasks and sequences in the process to produce the desired outcome. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Design Technology, Applied Science, or alternate applicable degree and six (6) or more years’ experience in performing engineering design drafting on bridge projects, including but not limited to: Bridge Reinforced Concrete Details Superstructure Types: Prestressed Concrete, Structural Steel Falsework and Shoring Per the Job Description Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems: AutoCAD or MicroStation (Preferred) Follow client, JSE, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and ASHTO codes and standards Draft plans and detailed drawings for bridge construction and miscellaneous projects Read construction and engineering documents to assist with creation of shop drawings Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload Qualifications / Desired Skills and Experience Over six (6) years’ experience in related field Understanding and application of civil engineering concepts and practices Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation/Bentley, and related drafting software Understanding of Microsoft Office applications i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams Work independently and coordinate effectively with multi-disciplined project teams Effective time management skills to meet deadlines Experience with traffic and signage detail (preferred but not required) Detail-oriented A culmination of Road and Bridge Engineers, CAD Techs, Surveyors, and Project Managers, JSE thrives on pushing the industry forward one project at a time.
