Job Description
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Location Overland Park, KS Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 7 PM - 7 AM, with scheduling requirements of every third weekend. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a Level 2 trauma center. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center.
- Utilize advanced trauma assessment skills and knowledge to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement patient experience best practices, including AIDET and use of whiteboards.
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster a collaborative team culture.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Emergency/Trauma nurse in a Level 2 trauma center.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, NIH.
- Preferred: CEN or TCRN certification.
- Advanced skills in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage.
