Registered Nurse (RN)Join The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham as a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN). You will provide high-quality care and customer service to our patients and their families.Weekly pay ranging from $47 to $53 an hour, with pay differentials for evenings, overnights, and weekends.The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The RN will also maintain accurate and comprehensive resident care plans, follow physician's orders, and document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.Responsibilities include:Providing direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and treatmentsSupervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing assistants to ensure that resident care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policiesDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive resident care plansFollowing physician's orders and rendering and/or assisting with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician ordersTranscribing physician's orders promptly and accuratelyReviewing patient records daily to assure accuracy and completenessDocumenting comprehensive and complete nursing notesVisiting each resident daily to evaluate resident needsMaintaining accurate awareness of residents on alert listDocumenting and reporting any unusual or significant findings; contacting the physician when necessaryAdministering medication according to procedureMaintaining an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which he/she is responsibleInitiating any and all emergency procedures as necessaryDemonstrating correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job descriptionRequirements include:Possessing, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing or collegeBeing CPR certifiedHaving a current and active RN license in the state, or being in the process of obtaining oneBeing able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languagePossessing the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionsPossessing the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicBeing knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term carePossessing leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnelPossessing accurate and comprehensive assessment skillsBeing familiar with drug actions and interactionsHaving knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies and utilizing them appropriatelyHaving patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residentsBeing willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practicesBeing able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergenciesBenefits include:Competitive and weekly payHoliday pay for hourly and salaried employeesOvertime pay for hourly employeesCareer advancement opportunitiesExclusive employer discount programAvailable for eligible team members:Employer-paid life insurance401(k) with employer matchVacation and personal timeHealth, dental, and vision insuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
