Senior AI Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior AI Architect for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an expert Senior AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-generation AI-driven solutions. You will serve as the technical authority, bridging the gap between high-level AI strategy and low-level Python engineering. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, production-grade systems that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and robust backend services to solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Architecture: Design and oversee the end-to-end architecture of AI platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security within cloud-native environments
• AI/GenAI Integration: Lead the design and deployment of Generative AI pipelines, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), fine-tuning workflows, and model orchestration using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Engineering Leadership: Define coding standards and architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven Design, Domain-Driven Design) to ensure high-performance Python backends
• Model Lifecycle Management: Oversee the MLOps pipeline, from data preparation and training to inference optimization, monitoring, and continuous deployment
• Strategic Guidance: Partner with product leaders to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, evaluating and selecting the optimal AI tools, models (OSS or proprietary), and databases
• Mentorship: Lead and mentor engineering teams, performing deep-dive code reviews and unblocking technical challenges in complex AI implementations

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years specifically in AI/ML solution architecture
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
• Deep understanding of concurrency, memory management, and asynchronous programming
• Proven hands-on experience integrating LLMs (GPT-4, Llama 3, Claude, etc.) and building agentic systems
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) and embedding strategies
• Strong experience in cloud-native deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear technical documentation, sequence diagrams, and decision logs to guide cross-functional teams
• Strong experience with both Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases, including query optimization for AI-heavy workloads

Pay range: $65.35 - $73.35 per hour
